Welcome to Virtuall
Welcome to the solution showcase of PQR. Designed, built and maintained by our team of leading infrastructure consultants. This website has three main purposes:
Keep posted
This website provides technical information, solutions and product driven whitepapers, downloads, movies and more. In addition you can discuss various topics through our blog functionality, keeping each other updated about the latest news.
Demo site
Our demo site gives you the opportunity to get to know most of the products PQR is holding in its portfolio. Most products are available to all registants; some products are only accessible through PQR's account managers who are more than happy to demonstrate the functionality of these products.
Development
PQR is constantly investing to keep up with all new technologies that are involved with virtualisations, application delivery and data & system availability. The development part of Virtuall is only meant for PQR consultants, wanting to test the latest software, develop best practices and write building blocks for designs and offerings.
Application & Desktop Delivery
Infrastructures are built to provide users with the applications they need to do their work. These applications produce data and data is provisioned by systems.
To allow users to work anywhere at any time, the applications and the desktops they workon have to be delivered to them in a certain way. To give an overview of the possible ways to do that, a diagram was created called ‘Application and DesktopDelivery’ solutions.
Data & System Availability
The dynamics of applications and desktops are making them location, device and time independent. Data and systems have completely different availability requirements. They are typically stored in a datacenter that is not dynamically provisioned, although we may see that change in the near future with the upcoming cloud computing initiatives.
Backend Services
Backend services are in essence the actual infrastructure functionality. They run on the systems that are in the infrastructure and typically include a directory system (i.e. Active Directory) and applications like groupware (i.e. Microsoft Exchange Server), databases, webservices, file and print servers, etc. A pro-active monitoring system helps to keep the infrastructure healthy, well-performing and highly available.
