This is the ESX Deployment Appliance v1.05. It now has full support for ESXi 5.1 scripted installations, a couple of new ESXi specific scriplets and a whole new script builder and editor. New scriplets include some things a lot of people had specific problems with like adding it to Active Directory and enabling the Management traffic on a vmk adapter!

This is the fast and very small monowall from http://m0n0.ch enhanced with (part of) VMware tools. The network card, memory driver and boot and shutdown scripts are added for improved performance.
This is a Just enough OS appliance based on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. It is built from scratch and is only 55MB in size but is still fully compatible with Ubuntu updates because no files have been removed from packages themselves. It is therefor completely different from a default Ubuntu server install that takes 740MB and is a perfect base to build a custom virtual appliance on.
This is a smaller, faster alternative to the popular LAMP webserver setup. This Linux appliance (L) uses Lighttpd webserver instead of Apache (A), SQLite instead of MySQL (M) and PHP5 (P). Read all about it on VirtualAppliances.eu
This is a Just enough OS (JeOS) appliance based on the latest Ubuntu Long Time Support (LTS) version 10.04. It's not a basic install but built from scratch with only the bare essentials in it. Nothing has been removed from the basic packages to maintain 100% compatibility. Check virtualappliances.eu for a full description on how it's made.
It's therefor the perfect base to build an appliance on.
